What if Silverlight is not installed for my users?

There may be a possibility that your users don't have the Silverlight plugin installed. Using most of the Visual Studio 2008 project templates, you are provided with a generic "not installed" template. If Silverlight is not installed, it basically displays an image like this:


which might not mean much to your users. You should create a better "not installed" template specific to your use and should include a more descriptive message to your users about what they are installing and why. As an example, here's perhaps a better one:
